2017 has already started and the renowned color authority, Pantone Color Institute, has come up with its list of trending hues of the season. Being a trendy young lady in India’s fashion capital Delhi, you certainly are thinking of incorporating the hottest shades of spring, 2017 in your bridal trousseau. So, here is the list of the colors, along with the complementary outfit ideas, which you must consider to look up to date on your wedding shots, captured by your favorite candid wedding videographers and photographers.

Niagara 17-4123: This denim-like blue speaks volumes about comfort and casual styling. Ideal for pre-wedding shoots, you can incorporate this hue in skirts and dresses. Wear a long skirt in Niagara along with white sleeveless top to look casual chic. Need more romantic inspiration? Go for a frilled mini dress in this color with a hot pink belt and stilettos.

Primrose Yellow 13-0755: This vibrant yellow is just apt for a fun-filled haldi or any other day event. Wear a sari or an anarkali in this tint along with complementary embroidery. We guarantee that you will feel happy from within and glow on those photos.

Greenery 15-0343: Color of the season ‘Greenery’ is a tangy yellowish green that is refreshing and calming at the same time. Greens are always considered auspicious in Indian weddings since they signify fertility and prosperity. Hence, wear a lehenga in this color on your mehendi and let your wedding videographer capture those lovely designs.

Pink Yarrow 17-2034: Hot pinks are an all time favorite with brides since they complement Indian skin tone beautifully. This lively pink screams attention and is a must to match your moves on your sangeet. Wear an elaborate anarkali or a chaniya-choli and set the dance floor on fire.

Flame 17-1462: Want to ditch that crimson but don’t wish to deviate too much from the traditional dressing? Choose this reddish-orange color for your big day. It is daring, vivacious and definitely a head-turner. Wear a lehenga or a sari with a complementary top in a contrasting color. Go for silver embellishments instead of gold. You will surely be the center of attraction on your wedding.

Lapis Blue 19-4045: Royal and mysterious, this breathtaking shade of blue is a sure shot winner for wedding receptions when you want to look bit different from your usual bridal self. Wear a fishtail lehenga with a heavily embroidered cropped top with Chinese collar. A pair of heels, a messy updo, and large sparklers on ear – and voila! You are already giving people serious fashion goals!

There are a few more colors, as per Pantone, which are much in trend this season, e.g. Kale 18-0107, Hazelnut 14-1315, Pale Dogwood 13-1404 and Island Paradise 14-4620. While the first one is a dark leafy green, the rest of the three are pale pastel shades of beige, rose quartz and powder blue. You can choose your engagement outfit from any of the hues and let your candid wedding cinematographer show off your versatility. If you are eyeing a western gown, go for the pastels. Choose Kale, if you want to wow everyone in a desi avatar. Just don’t forget to check beforehand whether the colors are complementing your skin tone or not. You wouldn’t want to look drab on your special moments for sure, right?
